Mothers are among the most important people to give to during the holiday season, as they given so much to us. Paradoxically, they’re often the most difficult people to buy for.  I mean, what do you give a woman who has everything she needs?  And this task is rendered even more difficult when, after asking your mom what she’d like for Christmas, she tells you “ohh, I don’t need anything.  Just want to see my family all together.”While that sentiment is certainly sweet, is certainly isn’t helpful.  So this year, I’m going a bit beyond, and taking it upon myself to come up with a great gift that my mom definitely doesn’t need - but one that she will absolutely love.I’m commissioning a local artist to etch my mom’s face in glass, from one of her favorite pictures, taken when she was around my age.  It hasn’t been too expensive, but I’m hoping she’ll realize that it’s very heartfelt.  And that’s the most important thing of all, no?  Showing your mom how important she is to you.
